For the competitive golfer, Lakeside Golf Club has a full calendar of events including Club Championships, Matchplay, Summer and Winter Cups, Monthly Medals and our Medallist of Medallists playoffs.

We are one of 60 Victorian Golf League member clubs and have a successful history in Pennant competition. Our Scratch team has won 12 years in a row, and our Senior and Women’s teams have also enjoyed VGL success.

During the Formula One Grand Prix, when the course is closed to golf for three weeks, the club plays competitions at some of Victoria’s best public courses adding variety to our competition calendar.

The highlight of the year is the Murray River Classic when the club makes the trip to the NSW border for three days of fun competition and trophy events. It attracts around 70 members each year who stay in accommodation organised by the club and is a wonderful social experience as well as the opportunity to play on some fantastic regional golf courses.
